The Strain #1 Starts To Ratchet Up On eBay, From $1 To $13

It’s going to pilot but Deadline report that “FX president John Landgraf has indicated it is being eyed for a series order.” Based on the vampire trilogy co-written by del Toro, it was also adapted into a comic book series from Dark Horse by David Lapham and Mike Huddleston.

The first issue was only a dollar. As of yesterday there were eight copies for over cover price at Midtown – they’ve now all gone. And sixty-seven at TFAW. Also now gone. And people taking down their cover price eBay listings and putting them up with new prices, where it has now sold for over $13.

On, there have been a sudden twelve sales of this Buy It Now listing for $5 each.

A few days a go, the variant cover couldn’t sell for 99 cents when packaged with four other horror comics. Now it sells for $15.
