Dark Knight Returns To Take ComiXology

If you can judge a country's mood by what comics it buys on comiXology (and really, why wouldn't that be a reliable indicator?) than things are pretty bleak out there. Well except in Italy, but that's hardly a surprise. Frank Miller has a huge week, with issues of The Dark Knight Returns, Dark Knight Strikes Again and All Star Batman & Robin coming in at #1 in the UK, Australia, Mexico, Greece, Germany and Israel. Add to that total Miller chart domination holding the majority of the spots in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Brazil, India, Germany, Sweden and in Greece having a little something I like to call, TOTAL MILLER CHART DOMINATION. It's not catchy or clever, but it's accurate. However it's not rainbows and sunshine elsewhere with The Walking Dead #102 coming in at the top spot in the US, France, Spain, China, Brazil, Ireland, Sweden and Norway. Meanwhile Italy gets very Happy, the new Morrison/Robertson series winning the week while Japan reinforces it's coolest stereotype by embracing it's love of giant robots as the new Transformers Ongoing #9 tops the chart, and just to be different Russia and India give Before Watchmen: Ozymandias #3 the spot. Don't tell Elvis Costello, but not a whole lot of places got Happy this week, but it reaches #4 in Norway, #6 in Brazil, and #9 in Australia and the UK. Something called Talon makes the charts in Japan, Ireland and Sweden. Russia likes Skullkickers, Israel likes Y: The Last Man, China likes Dungeons and Dragons and quite unsurprisingly the UK is the only place to show the Star Trek/ Doctor Who meet up any love.
