Ben Abernathy Joins Madefire

Ben Abernathy Joins MadefireHe was the digital editor at DC Comics, until he mysteriously vanished from the company a couple of weeks ago.

Now he has popped up, mentioned in a USA Today puff piece about the innovative digital comics company, Madefire, full to busting with big names.

Founded in 2011 by Ben Wolstenholme, Liam Sharp and Eugene Walden, Madefire is serious about creating content, with a new editor — Ben Abernathy, formerly of DC Comics' digital division — and the rollout of a slew of free new "Motion Books" available on its app

There had been industry speculation that he was off to ComiXology. Well, it was in the right ballpark, but Madefire seem more interested in making heir own comics that distributing those of other people…
