Black Kiss 2 Comic Held By UK Customs

I had an inkling that this could happen. And after reading the comic in advance, that inking became a little stronger.

I have been told by a number of UK stores that the new Black Kiss comic by Howard Chaykin, Black Kiss 2, due to be published tomorrow by Image Comics, has not arrived – although other Image comic books have.

Asking around, I am told by Diamond Comic Distributor representatives that the comic book in question has been held by UK Customs, who are concerned by its rather intense sexual content. I tried to give a couple of non-spoilery examples here.

Customs are in talks with Diamond’s UK offices to discuss what happens next. Diamond are hoping that the comic will only be delayed a week and are planning to advise retailers of its more adult content. But Customs really are a law unto their own.

It really is the nineties all over again!
