Archie Comics Reprints Gay Marriage Issue As A San Diego Comic Con Exclusive

In a thumbing-their-nose-at-One-Million-Moms act, Archie Comics is reprinting again Life With Archie #16 that featured the same-sex wedding of Kevin Keller and his boyfriend, for a specil San Diego Comic Con edition.

Co-CEO Jon Goldwater told Bleeding Cool;

"LIFE WITH ARCHIE #16 is a landmark issue for Archie and comics in general. We broke new ground with the wedding of Kevin Keller and Clay Walker and we want to commemorate it at the biggest comic book event of the year: San Diego Comic-Con. Now, fans can get their hands on an exclusive copy of the issue, comic book-sized, featuring a beautiful cover by superstar Phil Jimenez. We have no plans to reprint this issue as a standalone again, so this is a unique opportunity to get a piece of comic book history."

It was certainly the issue which seemed to get DC and Marvel playing catch up on this issue. The new cover is by openly gay artist Phil Jimenez, and will be on sale at San Diego next month…
