He went on to create the series Marc Dacier with Charlier in 1958, and Luc Orient in 1966 with Greg, which was published in the Tintin magazine.
He then taught in the Institut Sant-Luc in Brussels where he once studied from 1969 to 1976. He kept working in comics, however, with Greg on a series of science fiction comics such as Luke East and Tommy Blanco and with Andre-Paul Duchateau on Yorik of Storms and Udolfo. He then worked for Dargaud with Jean Dufaux and Sohier on The Garden of Fear (in the late eighties, Detective Carol with Duchateau, Congo with Greg in Lefrancq and Les Miserables with Michel Deligne in the nineties.
He is survived by his wife, Beer Laurette, a nurse who treated him after he survived a fire in the animation studio he once worked at.
