Watch The First Trailer For Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love

Back in 2010, Woody Allen said that shooting in New York had become to expensive for him, which is too bad for NY but very good news for Europe. First we saw Spain in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, then there was 2010’s You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, which was filmed in London, then last year’s Midnight in Paris. The director is currently rumoured to be eyeing up Copenhagen as the setting for his next film, but for now let’s take a look at the first trailer for To Rome With Love.

Formerly known as Nero Fiddled, To Rome With Love appears to be an ensemble piece, with performances from Ellen Page, Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, Roberto BenigniPenélope Cruz, Alison Pill, and Woody Allen himself. Here’s three reasons to watch it: some truly beautiful shots of Rome, teasers for the vignette where Roberto Benigni’s character gets mistaken for a movie star and becomes famous overnight, and Penélope Cruz in a very tight red dress.

To Rome With Love will receive a limited release in the US on June 22nd, but there’s no UK release date confirmed at this time.
