The Walking Dead #19 Sells For $1650, #1 Hits $1830

The greatest hope for the economy right now seems to be people selling their copies of The Walking Dead. We looked earlier at how the collections are dominating the Amazon charts. And the other day how an issue of The Walking Dead #19 featuring the first appearance of Michonne, as seen in the final scene of the last episode of the TV version, had sold for $250 on eBay. Well that was just the start.

A CGC 9.8 signed copy of Walking Dead #19  has just sold on eBay for $1650. An ungraded copy sold for $600. The reprint comic, Walking Dead Weekly #19 sold for $56.

In comparison a CGC 9.8 signed copy of Walking Dead #1 has sold for $1830, with an ungraded copy selling for $868.

Next up seems to be the first apearance of The Governor, yet to appear in the TV show. Emphasis on “yet”. Issue 27 CGC 9.8 sold for $350 while an ungraded copy sold for $162.

This feels like a good time to sell. But who knows what the future will bring?
