Ivan Brandon Leaves DC Comics’ Men Of War After Issue 6

Bleeding Cool understands that Ivan Brandon has chosen to leave the new 52 book, Men Of War, after issue 6. The book, despite internal leaks to the contrary, is not cancelled and will continue.

This revamping of the Sgt Rock character in modern day warfare in a world of superheroes was possibly one of my favourite books, and much of that was down to the writing. I look forward to following Ivan onto whatever project he may look to next.

I would expect one of the backup strip writers on the book, Jonathan Vankin or B Clay Moore may be first in line to take over the book.

Bleeding Cool's coverage of San Diego Comic Con 2015 is brought to you by Valiant's BOOK OF DEATH #1 – in stores July 15th. Visit ValiantUniverse.com for more information.
