Collectors Cornered #6 – The Big Baltimore Comic Con

Collectors Cornered is a weekly video column, filmed inside Collectors Corner in Baltimore. Join us every week as we discuss comic book news from a different point of view and get instant feedback from real customers on New Comics Day, as we literally corner them and and ask questions about comic books and related topics. Unscripted, reality CC.

This week, we go to Baltimore Comic-Con, set up our booth and show you the enormous record breaking crowds, amazing costumes, some from the show floor exclusive video! Was it Stan Lee, or are comics coming back in a big, big way, we think a little bit of both! You could feel the excitement in the air on both Saturday & Sunday, there was no slowing down of the stampedes of comic fans, young and old, women, men and a lot of children. I want to stress that this is the most crowded Baltimore Comic Con I have ever seen and I have been to every one from the start. Even though DC & Marvel had no official presence the fans were spending money and having a great time. For the first time in the shows history I can recall, people had to be kicked out as the show closed customers refused to leave. We gave Collectors Corner Work Shirts to guys we admire in the industry and they were ecstatic about getting them including Jason Aaron, Jimmy Palmiotti & Greg Larocque.

See Video of our First Annual Baltimore Comic-Con After Party & Costume Contest we held at the store Saturday Night after Day 1 of the Con. Also we feature Customer recollections from their Con experience.

Stay Tuned for next week’s Collectors Cornered #6 featuring The DC 52 Relaunch Midnight Party & Read Comics in Public Day Coverage from CC. Seeya Next week! Continue the favorite comic book film discussion in the forum here on BC, or on our CC Facebook and Twitter
