TronWatch: Marvel are launching Tron variant covers for a chunk of comics coming out in November. Who said Disney wouldn't change anything? Though personally I'd prefer Toy Story variant covers indeed. Captain America as Buzz Lightyear?

The Cap'n is a perfect physical specimen among men, but considering this preview issue shows other NBA stars as more than men, the selection of one of the more ordinary heroes (albeit one doped up on a performance-enhancing serum) to represent the Heat is an interesting one.
ObituaryWatch: South Oregon mourns the loss of Jonny Rench.
Adam Beechen, writer of "Killapalooza," called Rench "a pro's pro," noting that his work "made artists and writers look good, but more importantly, it made stories deeper, more interesting to read and more effective. He was a skilled, reliable and talented teammate, and a great artist in his own right."

This is The Bleeding Cool ComicChron Robot speaking. I come for your women. But for now I merely collate comic-related bits and pieces online. One day I will rule. Until that day, read on.
Jonny was one of the unsung heroes responsible for pulling off the biweekly mini-series Number of the Beast in 2007–so good AND so fast! His color choices were perfect and I liked his style quite a bit. A couple of weeks ago I saw his colors for the final issue of Tom Strong and the Robots of Doom and they were fantastic–his work was even better and I was considering requesting him on the next Tom Strong series. A tragedy for his friends and family and quite a loss for the comics industry.

Another look at ESPN's Marvel Comics-themed season preview
The first two images released featured Kobe Bryant and a number of other NBA stars, and this latest image, provided by ESPN, gives you a sneak preview at the Miami Heat's spread. Depicting LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh with Captain America's shield is a nice departure from the "Superfriends" rhetoric that's been thrown around thus far, which was thankfully off-limits anyway due to its D.C. affiliation. Like it or not, this it the team that will capture the American consciousness for the next eight months, so it's only befitting that they're shown wielding the weapon/safeguard of America's most obvious hero.
I just happened to be there at the right time. They were ripping it up! And being with Forbes, you should comment on the value of the art today. It's phenomenal. If you made an investment in comic art 10 years ago, 20 years ago… It's appreciated more and more — the last couple years you can't count. (laughs) But the fine art is still there. The top of the line of the art in my collection — I'm getting offered more for than ever.
'Marvel Pinball' leaked by Australian Ratings Board
The development studio behind both the Pinball FX series on XBLA and Zen Pinball on PSN has just popped up on the Australian Ratings Board website under a listing for "Marvel Pinball," a "multiplatform" game. The ESRB has yet to detail it, but we get the feeling Marvel Pinball just might be a pinball game with Marvel branding and characters — our detective work knows no bounds, we know.
