Senator Nancy King's Democrat Opponent Responds – On The Bendis Boards

Senator Nancy King's Democrat Opponent Responds – On The Bendis BoardsIt looks like the upcoming Maryland Senatorial election will not be fought in the streets of Baltimore – but on the Jinxworld messgae board forums.

Bleeding Cool first broke the story that Senator Nancy King was issuing direct mail that painted children reading comics in the classroom as a negative thing. Despite Maryland having a number of comics-in-the-classroom programs.

Well, another Democrat candidate in the election has now joined the fray, posting on a Bendis board thread kicked off by the original Bleeding Cool piece.

I know, I can't believe I'm writing this.

Hi. My name is Saqib Ali. I'm a State Representative from Maryland and I'm challenging Nancy King for her seat in the State Senate. Our Democratic Primary Election will be held on September 14th.

I've seen the condemnation that Senator King's thoughtless mailer has provoked from comic book aficionados. If you are interested in a better legislator in MD's State Senate, please join my campaign by visiting http://www.Ali4Senate.com. You can drop me a few bucks, you can volunteer your time, or you can help spread my progressive message over the internet.

Feel free to give me a holla. Senator Nancy King's Democrat Opponent Responds – On The Bendis Boards

Of course, he hasn't told us what his favourite comic books are yet. How can we make a proper judgement unless we know if he's an Ultimate or Amazing Spider-Man reader?
