Ape Entertainment To Launch Care Bears And Sesame Street Comics?

Ape Entertainment To Launch Care Bears And Sesame Street Comics?Bleeding Cool previously reported that Ape Entertainment were to publich a comic licensed from the Black Dynamite movie. Well, at the other end of the license spectrum, I understand they are to license comic book publishing deals with Care Bears and Sesame Street.

The latter will make Ape the third publisher to have concurrent Jim Henson titles at the same time, with Archaia's Fraggle Rock and Boom's The Muppet Show.

Ape have a number of child-friendly licenses, include Dreamworks titles such as Shrek and the Penguins Of Madagascar. And seeing the flocks of children for Pocket God at Chicago Comic Con, it does seem to be a growth area for the publisher. However, they did give a big "no comment" when approached about this article.

But I would expect announcements from the publisher both before and after the upcoming New York Comic Con. And a kick-ass Black Dynamite party to boot!

Why do I think I'd prefer a Care Bears party though? If only for the cosplay…
