SCOOP: Avatar To Announce Crossed 3D At San Diego

They've been keeping it ender wraps. Ish. The company Twitter account recently posted

oh btw… CROSSED 3D. Did I mention that?

And a rogue Amazon listing seems to confirm that this is a new project.

One of the more disturbing comic book series of recent years, Crossed seems to revel in it's own filth. And just as horror films of the seventies and eighties found 3D as a way to extend their shlockness to the public increasingly looking for a new edge to their fears, it looks like Crossed will be going that way too.

I understand that it's a brand new Crossed original graphic novella announcing at San Diego, and in 3D too. Here are the covers to the softcover, the hardcover.

Written by Crossed: Family Values David Lapham and drawn by Ignition City's Gianluca Pagliarani, it's 48 pages long with a $8.99 softcover price.

The solicitation text reads;

When one of the last surviving human Doctors gets trapped in a New York skyscraper, S.W.A.T. veteran Lt. Hunt MacAvoy must assemble and arm a rag-tag group of handymen to go on a rescue mission of madness – right into a city of millions of Crossed!

I have to say, it takes enough to get through a 2D episode of Crossed. A 3D episode may see me bringing even more colour to the occasion. In projectile format.
