The Superman McClure Dailies File Copy From 1938 Hits eBay

Before Superman was a comic book, it was a comic strip. That no one wanted. A small publication was created to sell Superman to newspaper editors by the McClure syndication company, before those strips were cut up, abridged and reassembled into Action Comics #1. After the publication of Action Comics, which mashed up said strips into a comic, the Superman newspaper strip was revived. And this was the publication used to try and get newspaper interest.

That comic recently sold for over a million dollars.

This original publication is currently on a Buy It Now on eBay for $37,500
