Conner And Palmiotti On New Creator-Owned Title

Conner And Palmiotti On New Creator-Owned TitleAt C2E2, Amanda Connor told fans that she isn't leaving Power Girl after issue 12 by choice, but because she can't quite keep to a monthly schedule and so has been replaced.

Jimmy Palmiotti was originally quoted on leaving Power Girl as saying "that though the decision was difficult to leave, once Conner was no longer available for art duties, he and Gray felt that they couldn't stay and produce the same level of excitement month after month". He added "not with any other artist than Amanda. She "owned" the character in our eyes.

For "no longer available" read "eased out".

That does mean, however, that she can concentrate on a new creator-owned project with husband Jimmy Palmiotti and colourist Paul Mounts, as well as ease her schedule to just covers for a bit.

Note – did you know Amanda Conner colour-coordinates when signing comics? She brings along a variety of coloured pens, choosing the right one for the right cover.
