Preview: Lord Of Berger by Christopher Arleston and friends

Christopher Arleston, the new writer taking on the Asterix legacy, is keeping nice and busy until he starts working on the diminuitive Gaul.

He’s created a new French manga hybrid series, Lord Of Berger, seeing the traditional page numbers doubled and panel-per-page numbers halved.

Telling the story of two family members who take over the restaurant after their father is murdered, the character design is by Alessandro Barbucci, creator of hit Disney series W.I.T.C.H, and art is provided by an list of hot creators.

And, by not being published by French publisher Soliel but Glenat instead, this makes it the first book Arleston has had printed outside of the company for twenty years.

Here’s a preview.
