IESB is reporting that Greg Berlanti, director of Broken Hearts Club and the upcoming Life As We Know It is the leading contender to run the movie adaptation of The Flash. Berlanti has already written the Green Lantern screenplay and has a production credit on the movie – and was considered as a director material for the film, before being passed over for Martin Campbell. He's also got a lot of TV experience, writing and producing Eli Stone, Brothers & Sisters and Everwood.
The Flash, telling the superhero adventures of a number of speedsters over the years, is one of DC's major characters that has seen a number of attempts to get to the big screen over the years. But membership of The Super Friends, a short lived live-action TV series and apparances on Smallville have been the most prominent.
Really though – Flash before Wonder Woman? that does seem odd.
