Blackest Night #6 Hits The Illegal Downloads

bnYou won’t read any spoilers for Blackest Night #6 in this post, which shipped to comic stores this week, to be held for next week, when Diamond Comics Distributors aren’t shipping any titles at all.

And indeed copies don’t seem to have been put on sale yet by any shop. I’ve had no reports of anyone publicly or privately selling copies.

But copies have been scanned by someone calling themselves TotallyAnonymous and made available illegally. First on direct download sites, then on torrent sites.

But even before that, some retail staff had read the comic in question. And were telling people spoilers… click these links at your own peril – DC Comics Message Board, The Outhousers, Penny Arcade.

I once had an argument with a senior comic book figure who insisted that none of the illegal downloads was made available by anyone actually working in a comic book store. I pointed out that sometimes it was the only way this could happen.

Well it’s happening today… somehow.
