I wonder what they're going to do with that…

According to Heidi MacDonald, no one seems to know what the graphic novel Mal Chance that Platinum Studios has just signed a movie deal over, is. Well, the name change didn't help – the strip by Martin Pardo and David Morancho was originally serialised in Spain as Lola by Planeta de Agostini in the nineties before Platinum picked it up, and pushed it around Hollywood for seven years. And then solicited as the graphic novel Red Mantis

The book, and presumably the film, sees Lola the tip top Chinatown assassin being pursued by her own boss, as she helps an FBI agent she's fallen for. Kisses and explosions, basically. And here are a few pages in English…
