Doomed is a new series by Scott Lobdell and Javier Rendandez for the DC June mini-relaunch Note the title is in the Wicked, Frozen Tangled mode… teenage Doomsday anyone? Upset that no one understands his desire to kill Superman?
UPDATE: Artist Javier Fernandez has posted the cover and black-and-white to Doomed, saying
To create a character and launch[...]
And aside from his brain being used by the Red Skull, his ghostly aura used to invert heroes and villains, and his son conjuring up a version of him before retconning himself out of existence, it's stuck.
But could he have just skipped town and gone elsewhere into the multiverse?
We know that Scott Lobdell slipped the[...]
In April, Bleeding Cool favourite Scott Lobdell is launching a new comic book from Aspen with artist Jordan Gunderson and colourist Valentina Pinto.
The solicitation reads,
Throughout history, oddities have remained hidden away within the fabric of societies across the planet However, in recent years these unexplained phenomena have begun to emerge with a vengeance…Enter Gia Sorentino.
They[...]
What I'm going to do here is take a page, and do some of that stuff I was talking about up top.
Since this is my first time doing this, I decided to go with the first comic I remember reading: Uncanny X-Men 295, by Terry Austin (inks), Chris Eliopoulos (letters), Scott Lobdell (script), Brandon Peterson[...]
(Dan Jurgens of Futures End is co-writing the zero issue with him, while former Superman scribe Scott Lobdell is helping to lay out the overall outline of the story.)
So that's Donna Troy, JSA, Blue Beetle, Tangent, Gen 13 and plenty more For a few of these notes, look to previous Bleeding Cool articles.
Announcing that this project existed, and its intentions, back in[...]
Feel free to catch up.
We now understand that Convergence will be twice as large as we previously reported, an eight part weekly miniseries, and forty two-part series running across two months, making up 88 issues in total, for April and May 2015.
We had also previously reported that veteran comic book Scott Lobdell would be writing[...]
Reports have coe in from a number of retailers at Rose City Comic Con.
Scott Lobdell buying his own X-Men comics from them for a dollar apiece, over 150 at last count, walking to his table, signing them all and then…
… giving them to kids for free Every kid at walked past his table got a[...]
Whilst I lauded Scott Lobdell for that take at the time, and still do, it's also great to have the harsh realities of being an LGBTQ person highlighted in such a major way What's more, it doesn't make it a simple black and white matter either: Bunker's reaction last issue was violent and dangerous in[...]
But I haven't heard any other names attached.
On the back of the success of his Doomed crossover on the Superman books, Scott Lobdell has been given the task of writing the weekly title that will run through what Bleeding Cool has dubbed the Band-Aid.
The books – twenty two-parters – will be prepared in advance to[...]
I've never been the biggest fan of Scott Lobdell's work I think Generation X with Chris Bachalo was probably his high point for me, and I enjoyed that very much In the Nineties But while the man has received much criticism and disdain for his New 52 work, I think I've started to turn a[...]
Which also answers the question that began "Now with Steve Wacker leaving…."
So what did everyone have to say? Scott Lobdell told us,
"Mike Marts follows the First Rule Of Editorial: Make it better! I'm not sure what being an executive editor entails but I'm sure he's going to rock out."
RT @bleedingcool Mike Marts Leaves Batman[...]
And that his writer on Superman And Wonder Woman, Charles Soule, was offered the job, but turned it down.
We discovered today that the current Teen Titans is cancelled and Scott Lobdell, is off the book Whether Daniel is writing it or not, I don't know.
And who the new artist on Superman And Wonder Woman is,[...]
In his column for ComicVine, Scott Lobdell has announced he's leaving Teen Titans from April with issue 30 and the Annual.
The man who started the New 52 run on the book by burning down the Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters, who introduced a new gay male character to the DC line, Bunker, and who took[...]
It was attended by Superman Unchained writer Scott Snyder, Superman/Batman writer Greg Pak, Superman/Wonder Woman writer Charles Soule and artist Tony Daniels, Action Comics artist Aaron Kuder and Superman and Action Comics writer Scott Lobdell.
All the audience were given Superman capes as a sorry for the slide show not functioning in the beginning but they[...]

At least he's writing Superman.
— Mark Waid (@MarkWaid) August 19, 2013
Since that time, neither writers of the monthly Superman books, Scott Lobdell and Scott Snyder have replied, despite both having fully functioning Twitter accounts, and both having seen the message.
I'd like to point out that this is taking food out of the mouths of my[...]
The covers for Superboy, Supergirl, and Superman fit together, part of the Krypton Returns crossover from Scott Lobdell But that left a fourth piece missing from the puzzle.
Of course, it's the first part of the crossover from October, the upcoming Action Comics annual, featuring H'El, is that missing piece, though it's colored differently in promo[...]
From a pitch for Doom Patrol that never got picked up, by Scott Lobdell and Ilias Kyriazis…
Ilias writes;
The team would deal with secret "end-of-the-world" situations (because "DOOM patrol") They'd routinely save the Earth but would receive no apperiation nor respect since no one would know about it They'd be based in Las Vegas and would[...]
From today's Action Comics. Okay, much has been discussed about the trillions of dollars worth of damage done to Metropolis by Superman in Man Of Steel.
I understand from pretty decent sources that the new team on Action Comics, after Scott Lobdell's fill-in, are Batman/Superman's Greg Pak and New Guardian's Aaron Kuder, who recently drew part of Superman #18.
Of course, Kuder is also known for writing and drawing his own work elsewhere.
I'm hearing the possibility that some people may be looking[...]
Scott Lobdell's Superman has been derided by some But today's issue, Superman #20 is chock full of good stuff that I thought it was worth pointing out Big action, a funky Quitely-influenced take from artist Aaron Kuder And Orion, Superman and Wonder Woman meeting up About that kiss…
WTF Superman?
What can I say, I'm weak for[...]
Here's the audio taken from the Amazing Arizona Comic Con from the DC panel, discussing the Flash/I Vampire crossover that never was, with Flash writer Brian Buccellato, I Vampire writer Joshua Hale Fialkov and the interrupting poking annoying Scott Lobdell…
[audio:https://bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads//2013/01/Flash-IVamp-Crossover.m4a]
In which we learn that he planned to have all of the Rogues vampirised and Flash[...]
Today, Scott Lobdell writes DC's two main bad guys, Lex Luthor and The Joker? And how do we know they're bad guys? Because they both use diagrams!
In Superman #15 we have the incarcerated Lex Luther getting access to holo pen and holo paper to sketch out a certain Fortress Of Solitude, plotting out a way[...]
But it seems that Starfire's New Year resolution may be to stop hanging around on beaches, stretching in bikinis and doing impressions of goldfish.
I understand that with issue 18, Scott Lobdell will be off Red Hood And The Outlaws He will be replaced by Scott Snyder protege, James Tynion IV.
Scott's handling of the comic was a target[...]
There's a lot of fuss from USA Today that Clark Kent is quitting his job on the Daily Planet in a bit of a Jerry Maguire/Newsroom fashion. But, you know,
My favourite Superman line is "They will join you in the sun." From All Star Superman. I was pleased to see it also being used in Man Of Steel. And then
Jason Bentley reported from the DC Nation Panel at Las Vegas Comic Con this weekend;
At the Las Vegas Comic Con – the second comic convention happening in Las Vegas this weekend – Scott Lobdell talked about a lot of things in the pipeline.
Principally it seems, his plans to spin off a second Teen Titans book[...]
