El Rey Network has made the upcoming episode of Robert Rodriguez‘s interview series, The Director’s Chair available for free via its Facebook page. His guest is actor/writer/director Sylvester Stallone. The pair discuss Stallone’s work as a director on the majority of the Rocky sequels, The Expendables and his first directorial effort, Paradise Alley. They also […]
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Desperado director Robert Rodriguez is in talks to direct James Cameron‘s Battle Angel Alita. The Aliens director had been developing Battle Angel along side a number of projects, including Avatar, since the turn of the century. The project, based on the manga series, centers on “a female cyborg that is […]

Okay, the bottom bit of the Swipe File always talks about how Bleeding Cool doesn’t judge regarding swipes. How we understand that they are often part of the creative process. And we let you judge. But this one? Let’s just say it’s an interesting one. In 2008, Robert Rodriguez was looking at a Red Sonja […]
Mickey Rourke was on Late Night With Seth Meyers talking about Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and let it be known he isn’t exactly a Marvel fan. But he is a fan of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller.
Here we have some B-footage from the upcoming Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. This footage of course is against green screen, but it’s interesting to see how the film was shot. The film stars Josh Brolin, Jessica Alba, Eva Green, Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson and hits theaters August 22nd. This clip from Sin City: A Dame to Kill For premiered on Jimmy Fallon’s show last night. This is the best version I could rustle up on YouTube. It might not seem like the best clip to drop first, but Rosario Dawson was Fallon’s guest and it does very much revolve around her. The prevalence […]
The marketeers behind Sin City: A Dame to Kill for have innovated in bringing online a nice, official look at the ‘standee’ or cinema display for their movie. This is after they released GIFs in place of images a few weeks back – if, disappointingly, not exclusive GIFs but things we’d already seen in video. […]
This is short and not very sweet and it looks like Sin City.
I won't pretend I'm not rather happy about this. I'm more than curious about From Dusk Till Dawn, and I like to see more and more "original," or at least debutant, content on Netflix.
No sign of the titular Dame to Kill For as yet but here are some grimy, gritty, post-processed shots of other Sin City stars.
So there's something to look forward to after the World Cup.
Robert Rodriguez has not only recast, restaged and reshot From Dusk Till Dawn, he's rewritten Quentin Tarantino's original screenplay
Fargo isn’t the only greta 90s movie getting a TV do-over this year, with From Dusk Till Dawn providing Robert Rodriguez‘s new El Ray Network with what should be, I think, its first proper draw. Everybody has been recast, by the looks of things. I think we’ll soon get over that – but will the […]
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and even a whole TV channel, coming soon for the Robert Rodriguez enthusiast in all of us.
It would seem that the big screen filmmakers associated with Sin City and The Mist are preparing to take the story lines to the small screen. Here are a couple of snippets from a New York Times article on The Weinsteins’ TV plans (with thanks to ScreenRant for the heads up): [Bob Weinstein] is preparing […]
Starring Danny Trejo, Alexa Vega and Lady Gaga as "whoever she wants to be."
Alexa Vega (Machete Kills, Sin City 2) is set to release a new digital comic series called Suicide Layne from Kickstart Comics (not to be confused with Kickstarter). Vega came up with character while she was working as a child actress on the set of movies like Spy Kids. She was encouraged at the time to […]
Get the noose ready - she's a Dame to Die For.
