Marvel really are building up a fantastic body of work, bringing out the best in their writers, directors, stars and characters. Keep it up, guys.
captain america 2
This chase reminded me, in a few small ways, of the parkour sequence at the start of Casino Royale.
Marvel have dropped this new Captain America: The Winter Soldier poster via Facebook. They also promise an imminent announcement.
Either Marvel are stringing us all along or they're getting slack with the spoiler safeguards.
I expect the Bleeding Cool forum is about to get up to its neck in Captain America: The Winter Soldier spoilers. I won't pretend that I'm not interested in seeing how you all react to this big reveal.
It's become more and more obvious that the Avengers film will have to build on the events of Iron Man 3 and The Winter Soldier, perhaps less so the more self-contained The Dark World.
What wasn't immediately clear from my vantage point here in the UK is that there wasn't one new, full-length trailer released for Captain America: The Winter Soldier tonight, but two.
Expecting 30 seconds or so? Here's a full two and a half minutes. Yep, Marvel promised a TV spot and delivered a trailer.
Poster posing and burning military hardware.
This will be the first Marvel film to not open first in the UK in a long, long time. Ah well. It was fun while it lasted.
It seems like last just weekend that I was downloading logos and art for Marvel Cinematic Universe Hall H 2012 announcements, but it was already a year ago now, and it’s that time again. Chris Thompson writes; San Diego is a hive of activity as it prepares itself once again for the oncoming storm that is Comic-Con International. Now in its 44th year, CCI or SDCC (depending on your preferred acronym) is a juggernaut that brings together the world of comics and Hollywood for four short days each July. […]
Why wasn't this poster dropped on July 4th? It can be that Marvel are running shy of patriotic associations, can it?
I think somebody has been fibbing to us about whether or not they're involved in the second Captain America film.
Including cool shades, which may or may not be new.
Here are snaps of Anthony Mackie playing with toy guns in front of a rather big green screen. He's filming his role as Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon, in the next Captain America picture, The Winter Soldier.
Including the Guardians of the Galaxy version of the Mos Eisley cantina.
Kevin Feige has described Winter Soldier as being something like a 70s political thriller. The face of the 70s policial thriller, in my mind at least, is Redford. It's a good, simple match.
Expectations of machiavellian machinations, power plays and moral manipulations.
No Captain America for Peggy Carter.
