Jonathan Hickman and Russell Dauterman Give Storm the Giant-Size X-Men Treatment in June

Following up on May's Giant-Size X-Men: Fantomex #1, Storm will be the fifth and final character to be featured in the series of Marvel one-shots that allow Marvel to publish a series consisting of nothing but number one issues. Hickman revealed the news in the latest edition of Adventures in Poor Taste's X-Men Monday column, saying:

Our last issue is a bookend by myself and Russell Dauterman. We're doing Giant-Size X-Men: Storm. (Which pays off the first issue and also features more characters than just Storm).

It really sets up what we're going to be doing with her for the next couple of years.

In the interview, Hickman also answered questions about the return of Fantomex in May. The last time Fantomex was around was in Astonishing X-Men when he decided to stay in the Astral Plane so that Charles Xavier's mind could return to the real world in his body. According to Hickman, the Xavier seen up until his death in X-Force #1 was the Xavier in Fantomex's body, known as X, whereas the Xavier since then has been brought back in a clone of his own body as per standard Krakoann procedures.

"We've drawn him ever so slightly skinnier," Hickman said. "But, you know, not for long, Chuck is working out."
