We May Now Know What Ports Are On The Back Of The Xbox Series X

During CES 2020, we may have inadvertently gotten a look at what the port situation is on the Xbox Series X and what it will be capable of. For the most part, we've only seen the main image you see below, which is the front of the tower showing off a disc slit and the controller. Not really a lot to go on when it comes to determining what the console can do. As we're sure all those details are being saved for E3 2020. Well, as it turns out, AMD may have given the backside of it away. During their grand presentation at CES 2020, the company showed off a lot of what they're producing and who they're working with. In the middle of it, as reported by Thurrott, the company showed off an image of the Xbox Series X from the back.

Apparently, the new console will at least have two SuperSpeed USB-A ports, an HDMI port, an ethernet port, an optical audio port, and one for the power. All of them are located on the lower-left corner of the console, nicely grouped together so that OCD wire people can group them up for easy storage. While this is good to know, it's also sad they've removed the secondary HDMI currently on the Xbox One, which allows for another source to be routed through the console. For those of us who say… have a mini console and no more ports to plug it in with a PS4 and a Switch taking up the others. We'll see if this changes between now and June.
