Doki Doki Literature Club may have released in 2017, but that isn't stopping it from getting more content three years later.

Creator Dan Salvato announced that DLC is coming to DDLC, which is exciting news for anyone who's been following the game ever since it debuted. It's a fun, exciting twist on the typical visual novel with cutesy anime characters, and now the story will continue.

He took to Twitter to bring us the good news:

"This will be the year I reclaim my happiness so I can deliver it to others! My goal is to fully return to doing things I enjoy, such as making games. First releasing new DDLC content (not a sequel), then blowing the dust off my next original VN which has been on hold for 2 years."

Salvato didn't indicate what the new DLC will contain, but it's still exciting news nevertheless. If you've never experienced the game, it's something you'll certainly want to try out in the near future. It's well worth the wait, and you'll never expect the twists near the end.
