We May Be Getting A New Nintendo Direct In January 2020

If a particular pattern holds true, then it appears Nintendo will be giving us a Nintendo Direct livestream sometime in the next month. We haven't had a stream from the company in a few months as they basically did one before PAX West 2019 to show off all the new games before the holidays, as well as the indie one we got back in December. So it stands to reason we're due for one any day now. But some people found some proof we're probably getting one in January.

This tweet has been making the rounds today, showing a GameStop system checking for their 2020 inventory of upcoming releases. Specifically, for the Nintendo Switch. As you can see, they have a number of titles with generic dates listed but no titles. Apparently, every time this happens with them, a new Nintendo Direct is on the way. Anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

So basically, we're now on the lookout for an announcement from the company. With CES happening this weekend, it would not shock us to see it happen next week. But only time will tell.
