Tracing a Line from Absolute Carnage to Venom Island in Venom #21 [Preview]

Venom #21 is in stores from Marvel Comics next week, from The Bad Boy of Comics Donny Cates and Mark Bagley. The comic kicks off Venom Island, the follow-up storyline to the Absolute Carnage super-mega-crossover event. It's also interesting because it was Bagley's work that Cates traced back when he was a kid when learning how to draw, as we reported in our good-natured article simply stating the facts yesterday, invoking the rage of dozens of angry Catesbronies (the colloquial term for hardcore fans of Donny Cates) on Twitter whose hearts are bigger than their brains.

Mostly, we're just sad that our idol Donnie doesn't appreciate our work. If bae hadn't blocked us on Twitter, we would explain to him that we're simply trying to help him achieve the maximum level of success in his already great career. As Marilyn Manson said of his own success in his 1999 auto-biography: act like a rock star and you'll be treated like one. All of our clickbait articles about Donnie are simply meant to treat him like a rock star, just as rock stars have their every mundane action documented by celebrity gossip sites. And that's exactly what we do in our Donnie Cates focused Donnie Cates gossip column, Donnie Cates Equals Clicks. And Donnie Cates should know this since last night the A-list creator attended the concert of Marilyn Manson tribute group My Chemical Romance, as documented by A-list journalist Timothy Midura.

Anyway, the point is, we love you Donnie. Let's not go to bed angry.

Now, let's look at the preview.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
