Nancy A Collins Writes Vampirella Novel For New Prose Line, Dynamite Books, Edited by Dan Wickline

Dynamite Entertainment has published a number of prose e-novels, such as Seal Team 6, Shaft, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes and more. As a result they are planning an imprint for these titles digitally and in print. And have just launching Dynamite Books, edited by former Bleeding Cool contributor Dan Wickline. And it beings with a new novel by horror writer Nancy A Collins featuring Vampirella called Blood Invasion, available in print, e-book and audiobook right now

VAMPIRES FROM OUTER SPACE INVADE EARTH TO FEAST ON THE BLOOD OF THE LIVING!Years ago, Drakulon—a planet of living vampires, where it rains blood instead of water—was faced with a terrible drought. So they sent Space Scouts out into the cosmos to search for a new home—one where blood was plentiful. The bravest of these volunteers was the beautiful and bold Vampirella, who found herself marooned on a strange new world—one called Earth. Unable to return to her home, Vampirella sets about making a new life for herself on a planet where all other vampires are undead creatures born of evil. Over the years, she becomes famous as a monster hunter and defender of the weak and powerless. She even finds friendship and, for a time, love. But, one day, the skies of Earth fill with spaceships as Vampirella's people, led by General Orlok, finally arrive on the only other planet in the universe where blood flows as freely as it did on Drakulon.Vampirella is, at first, delighted to be reunited with her long-lost love, Tristan, and eager to help her people make a new beginning on her adopted home-world. But when she rebels against General Orlok's dark plans for Earth, Vampirella is branded a traitor and made a political prisoner until she escapes with the help of her sworn enemy, Count Dracula! Together with her best friend, the were-woman Pantha, Vampirella must put aside her hatred of monsters as she fights alongside an unholy rebel army compromised of witches, the living dead, and Dr. Frankenstein and his patchwork creations, in order to save not just the human race, but the Earth itself!Because, as they say: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

They are also adding to their line of Shaft books, starting with the original Shaft novel by Ernest Tidyman, also available today, then bringing in more Seal Team Six and then publishing Chaos! novels starting with Purgatori, with the intent to publish a novel every month.

Nancy Collins is quoted as saying, "It's nice returning to Vampi. The book is my own take on the 1950s invaders from outer space trope. To paraphrase Mark Twain: 'Those reading this book and expecting hard science fiction shall be shot with a ray gun.'"

Dynamite Books editor Dan Wickline, who wrote regularly for Bleeding Cool for many years, and recently wrote The Freeze from Image Comics, is quoted as saying, "Dynamite has so many amazing characters that lend themselves perfectly to prose novels and we have a ton of great stories in the works that should get readers really excited for the new line. We're fortunate to launch with the work of the incredible Nancy Collins and two of the most iconic figures of the last half-century."
