A Hellish Turf War in Ghost Rider #3 [Preview]

Ghost Rider #3 is in stores from Marvel Comics next week, by Canada's Favorite Son Ed Brisson and Juan Frigeri, and we've got a preview below

Ghost Rider #3 [Preview]

Last issue, Johnny Blaze got sick of Danny Ketch's wishy-washy attitude toward Ghost Riding, so he took away his Ghost Rider powers and tossed him into a river to die.

Ghost Rider #3 [Preview]

Is Danny okay? Well, we don't find out in this preview, as instead we flashback a few hundred years to find the Native American Ghost Rider of 1654 facing off against a villain named Necrosis. Are these familiar characters? Is anyone a big enough Ghost Rider fan to know?

Ghost Rider #3 [Preview]

It seems that these two have met before, and they're not very happy with each other.

Ghost Rider #3 [Preview]

Necrosis ends up victorious, and it looks like he's working for Belasco, part of some kind of rivalry or turf war with Mephisto. Hey, we know who Belasco is!

Ghost Rider #3 [Preview]

What does any of this have to do with the story we're reading in the current day? Presumably that will be explained if you pick up Ghost Rider #3, in stores on Wednesday.

A prophecy once said that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero would come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events. Sadly, that prophecy was wrong. Oh, Jude Terror was right. For ten years. About everything. But nobody listened. And so, Jude Terror has moved on to a more important mission: turning Bleeding Cool into a pro wrestling dirt sheet!
