Bethesda announced that development for its free-to-play card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends is now on hold.
The developer didn’t offer a date as to when we can expect new content to fire back up again, or confirm if this was simply a hiatus. Instead, it’s simply not happening for the time being.
According to a post on The Elder Scrolls: Legends subreddit, Bethesda made the news official. The post read that the developer has “decided to put any new content development or releases on hold for the foreseeable future.” That’s certainly a bummer for regular players, because it appeared to be doing quite well.
However, the game will still be available to download across PC and mobile. Players can still enjoy single-player and online modes as well. Plus, players can expect new events and monthly cards. However, expansions and future content will no longer be developed for now. So if you still want to get in the game, you can do so now.
“We are immensely grateful to work on The Elder Scrolls: Legends,” Bethesda concluded, “and we sincerely appreciate the love and support you’ve given us.”
