Jimmy Palmiotti Reminds Comics Speculators That Batwing #19 Had Only 13,000 Orders…

Bleeding Cool just ran a piece looking at upcoming plans for the character of Luke Fox in the Batman comic books. Including the very real possibility that he will be the new Batman, replacing Bruce Wayne in the cape and cowl on the streets of Gotham. We mentioned that Batwing #19 was his first appearance, and the co-writer of that comic book Jimmy Palmiotti would like to remind everyone of this fact. And that comic shops only ordered 13,000 copies.

Looking at the stats, we reckon it was a bit more than that… but not a lot. No more than 15,000… and as well as the comics, there's the TV shows too.

Well, it seems to have set off a flurry of sales, with one sale for $60 and another for $70 on eBay today, when the previous sale was on November 25th for around $30. But Jimmy likes to give speculators things to think about…
