Xbox's upcoming Project Scarlett has an impressive release schedule on the horizon.

Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, lined out Microsoft's plans for holiday 2020 and beyond for Scarlett's new titles in an interview with GamesRadar.

"We feel really good heading into 2020," Booty said. "We've got a goal of being able to deliver a game, roughly, every three to four months."

This is an important change for an Xbox console. The systems have historically had issues with a number of first-party exclusives over the years. It's something that Sony's PlayStation has excelled at instead, with plenty of exclusives for that camp.

"We have a little bit of work to do to get there. It'll be lumpy, but we're closer than we were. And so we feel really good going into 2020 – and the run-up to Project Scarlett – with our content line-up," Booty said of the upcoming game plans.

We already know Halo Infinite will be one of Scarlett's launch titles, which is still an exclusive for Microsoft. But now that Microsoft has a ridiculously large portfolio of developers up its sleeve, there's no telling what we'll see coming up. There are over 15 developers out working on new games for Scarlett. That means we should have several surprises coming up on the horizon.
