"Ms. Marvel" Kamala Khan Co-Creator Digs Title Sequence; Kevin Feige Talks Disney+ Marvel Characters in MCU

At The Walt Disney Company's D23 Expo in August 2019, then-Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced that they were in development on three Disney+ live-action series: Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk. Now we flash ahead a few months (which in the world of geek/pop culture can feel like years) and some things have clearly changed…

With Feige now pretty much "Overlord of All Things Marvel" (not his official title), Jeph Loeb is setting sails from Marvel  – and probably to an exclsuive deal with WarnerMedia's HBO Max running their DC Universe "hub" (our bold prediction). We know Marvel's Helstrom is moving forward but Ghost Rider is DOA, and then you have Cloak & Dagger ending its run. The adult animated Marvel block spearheaded by Loeb for Hulu featuring Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, Tigra & Dazzler (and team-up series Marvel's The Offenders) appears to be a go – for now.

Thankfully, the change hasn't impacted the three anounced series, with The Umbrella Academy series creator Jeremy Sister being tapped to develop and lead the writers' room on Moon Knight. But that's not all: Emmy award-winner Jessica Gao (Adult Swim's Rick and Morty) is set to develop and lead the writers' room on She-Hulk.

Now it's time for some Ms. Marvel news…

British writer Bisha K. Ali (Hulu's Four Weddings and a Funeral) is reportedly on board to write and serve as showrunner on the project, which will introduce young hero Kamala Khan to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now, Kamala's co-creator G. Willow Wilson is sharing a reaction via Twitter to a posted title sequence for the live-actions series. Now while it may be all emojis, we think it's pretty clear that there's some serious excitement there:

Another reason why Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk are so important – and different from their previous Netflix family members? Feige made it clear that these characters will definitely be finding their way onto theater screens:

"It's specifically the plan that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be in theaters and will be on Disney+… All of those characters [in Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision] will undergo transformative, I hope, very exciting experiences in that show and then go into our movies. So they'll go back and forth. Some characters, like we've announced She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight, you will meet for the first time in a Disney+ show, and then they will go into the movies. But the MCU will now go back and forth."
