As the Galactic Civil War rages on, the Empire and Rebel Alliance fight their battles both on the surface of planets across the galaxy and in the black depths of space. Using vehicles that range from technologically advanced superweapons to repurposed civilian craft, both sides bring the fight to every conceivable environment. And as always, the  traders, smugglers, and pirates who fight for for their own interests rely on vehicles and ships that can slip by undetected or speed away at the first sign of trouble.

Starships and Speeders: What’s Under the Hood?

The Starships and Speeders supplement book for the Star Wars RPG system will be crammed full of all manner of vehicles that adventurers can use to pull off interplanetary heists, diplomatic missions, or raids on mining facilities.

Over 130 vehicles will be detailed in Starships and Speeders, with each entry sporting a profile with stats, weapon profiles, and information on the engine load-outs and specs. The book will be broken up into sections for inner atmospheric ground vehicles and skimmers; starfighters will get their own section, while freighters, yachts, and luxury vehicles will be detailed in their own chapter. Cruisers and frigates will close out the book.

Starships and Speeders will also highlight famous (or infamous) ships from the Star Wars galaxy, with profiles on Hera Syndull’s Ghost, Boba Fett’s Slave 1, and the fastest heap in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon:

Rather than focusing on cosmetic repairs, Solo sought to disguise the smuggling vessel as a battered junker, cramming military-spec hardware into the Falcon’s weapons, shielding, and sensor systems and covering key systems with warship-grade hull plating. While effective, these upgrades go beyond what the YT-1300 was designed to handle, making the ship fickle and in constant need of repairs.

Starships and Speeders for the Star Wars role playing system is available for pre-order from your favorite game store, and will be released in early 2020!
