Fires of Passion Still Burn After Marriage of Donny Cates and Megan Hutchison

For many couples, so long after tying the knot, the fires of romance could fade like a distant memory, but that’s not the case for comics’ it couple Donny Cates and Megan Hutchison. Despite getting married nearly a full week ago, Cates’s passion remains as strong as ever, with the global entertainment superstar, fashion icon, and former Bleeding Cool reporter posting on Twitter:

Cates and Hutchison were married on Halloween in Lucca, Italy, an event first revealed EX-X-XCLUSIVELY by Bleeding Cool as the Wedding of the Century. Unfortunately, our invitation was lost in the mail (these things happen), but Hutchison did share a photo of the event on Twitter, perhaps shedding some light on the couple’s successful relationship by revealing that their love is “timeless.”

Artist Daniel Warren Johnson was in attendance and posted a photo of the wedding cake.

And the Lucca Comics and Games Festival also celebrated the event, sharing yet another photo of the newlyweds.

If you didn’t get to make it to Lucca for Cates and Hutchison’s wedding, don’t feel bad. Sure, we have no idea what we’re going to do with this lovely gravy boat we bought them as a wedding gift (make gravy we guess?), but the bad boy of comics did post on Twitter a few weeks back that those who want to send wedding gifts can donate to the Trevor Project, and you can still do that today.

Congratulations to Donny Cates and Megan Hutchison! And as always, bookmark Donny Cates Equals Clicks, our page dedicated to all the latest news on Donny Cates’ personal life right here on Bleeding Cool.

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.

About News with Benefits

Why let facts get in the way of a good story? News with Benefits is just like the actual news, but more interesting because it’s embellished. Yes, it may feature made-up quotes, wrong assertions, and completely baseless speculation, but in a way, isn’t that more honest than the shameless buttkissing and corporate shillery you often find in the “real” news? Don’t answer that.

News with Benefits was pioneered at toilet-themed comic book news and opinion website TheOuthousers.com, which is sadly now defunct, but its stench lives on thanks to the support of your clicks and outraged comments.
