Steam just debuted a major overhaul to its main landing page. In addition to revamping the way the library looks, it also introduced a way to help players stay on top of their game with a new Events tab.

The Events tab is the result of the team knowing how important it is to be able to stay abreast of special promotions going on in-game.

"We wanted to strike a balance between an in-library event feature that let you know about all the great things happening with the games you already own without bombarding you with notifications," Valve explained via the official announcement blog post.

"Not every event needs to be a big update, though. The new event tool gives you the ability to connect with players and share other things like a developer live-stream or a community challenge, or even highlight interesting fan art," continued the Steam team.

So most of the events won't be a big deal, but at least they'll all be collected in one place for you to keep track of. With all the cool Halloween stuff going on right now, this is especially useful. Be sure to let us know if it's been a boon for your usual Steam activities since it debuted.
