The latest entry in the Darksiders series, Darksiders Genesis, is headed to PC and Stadia earlier than the console versions.

If you're planning on playing on either PC or Stadia, you can jump into the game as of December 5. Meanwhile, the console release is still scheduled for February 14.

This isometric take on the classic Darksiders formula is set to take place before the original game ever began. It will follow the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, Strife, who's unraveling a story about the Seven Seals. Strife and brother War make their way through a gritty story about heaven and hell, basically killing off everything in their way.

Two players are capable of playing together with co-op, with Strife taking on ranged combat duties. War will use sword-centric melee to take out enemies, though both players' abilities will be required at certain points.

Airship Syndicate is handling development duties, which is a different studio than the one who developed Darksiders III. Airship Syndicate is the same troupe that handled Battle Chasers: Nightwar.

After debuting on PC and Stadia on December 5, Darksiders Genesis will finally head to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on February 14, 2020. Seems like a great game to play for Valentine's Day.
