"Fortnite's" Rare Mythic Goldfish Trophy Just Killed An Unsuspecting Player

Ever been beaned in the head by a goldfish? That very thing can happen in Fortnite. Except it's not a goldfish, it's actually a trophy. To be exact, it's a Mythic Goldfish. Ever since the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 2, fans have been on the lookout for the bizarre item. It doesn't show up very often, and this player just happened to see it because they were, well, killed by one.

See, the Mythic Goldfish trophy is actually a weapon you can throw at enemies. If you land a clean hit, it can inflict 200 damage. That's enough to essentially kill any other player even if they have full health and shields.

Players initially saw the trophy nestled within the game's files. However, no one had concrete evidence of seeing one until now, with Redditor BlakeBenbow serving up all the evidence anyone needed.

As you can see in the clip, BlakeBenbow is hard at work dancing away to his apparent video, when he's suddenly killed. The culprit? A Mythic Goldfish, apparently. When the deed is done, an achievement is awarded for the lucky player's trouble. Imagine being the character killed by a fish trophy. It's pretty hilarious (and maybe a little frustrating). But at least we have an idea that the fish can be found somewhat easily in-game now, right?
