New Art Team for Marvel's Spider-Marriage in Black Cat Annual #1

They may be teasing a marriage between Spider-Man and Black Cat in the upcoming Black Cat Annual, that simultaneously trolls the fans still annoyed about One More Day, as well as the Batman fans still annoyed at the Batman/Catwoman non-marriage.

But it appears that the book will have a brand-new art team, as opposed to what was solicited.

Originally announced with art by Javier Pina, known for his stellar work on Captain America, Suicide Squad, Manhunter, Swamp Thing, Black Panther and Soldier Zero, it will instead be drawn by the art team of Joey Vazquez of Marvel Team-Up and Charismagic and Natacha Bustos of Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur, Go Go Power Rangers, The Thrilling Adventure Hour and Gotham Academy/Lumberjanes.

Last-minute wedding change plans? It's not alone in this kind of thing of course. Absolute Carnage: Avengers #1, solicited with art by Alberto Albuquerque will see him joined by Guiu Villanova as well.

It's just intriguing that Newsarama didn't think to ask about the art in yesterday's bit of PR-puffery with its writer Jed MacKay
