Batman Black and White Statue Series Hit Their 100th Statue

Batman Black and White series first debuted back in 1996. It was a limited-run series from DC that features 8 page Batman stories in Black and White. Volumes 2 and 3 of the series are more recent with a 2013-2014 publication. The Batman Black and White series have been quite popular but the statue series is even more popular. The statue series from DC Collectibles has covered a wide variety of Batman characters in Black and White. From iconic bat-characters from stories like White Knight, Animated Series, Reign, and Dark Knight. This time DC Collectibles is hitting a milestone with their 100th Batman Black and White Statue! This one is based on the Todd McFarlane Batman #423 cover. This 5,000 limited edition statue shows off Batman with his wicked distorted cape blowing in the wind. The statue stands about 9 inches, which is pretty big for the style of the statue. Batman’s cowl and his iconic cheat symbol are noticeable outside of the cape. Celebrate this iconic cover and the Batman Black and White series and add this to your Batcave.

Batman Black and White #100 statue is scheduled for a May 2020 release and is priced at $85. Preorders are already live and located here.

If that wasn’t enough DC Collectibles has announced their 101st statue! Frank Miller showed off the next statue from his series Dark Knight Returns. The statues show off Batman in his armored outfit and showcase the style nearly exact from the comic series. No date or price has been revealed just yet, but pictures have been revealed. Check them out below!

“I am the night. I am Batman.”

After 15 years of diverse depictions of Batman in the Batman Black & White statue line, DC Collectibles proudly presents the 100th statue to join the collection, by acclaimed writer and artist Todd McFarlane. This milestone statue is based on McFarlane’s cover for Batman #423. As with the previous 99 statues in the series, McFarlane’s design reinforces the core value of DC Collectibles’ Batman Black & White line: to represent the printed page in 3-D form.
