Namor's Green New Deal in Invaders #9 [Preview]

Invaders #9 is in stores this week from Marvel Comics, by Chip Zdarsky, Carlos Magno, and Butch Guice. We've got a preview below.

Namor has sunk an entire town of humans and turned them into water breathers as he continues his war on land-dwellers.

But first, a flashback to World War 2, where we are reminded that for a fish man, Namor has always been a hot head.

Spitfire futilely tries to mitigate his damage…

…and to talk some sense into him. Yeah, good luck with that.

In the present, Captain America, the original Human Torch, and Toro visit Spitfire, where they all remark on how intellectual property rights have prevented any of them from aging in 80 years.

Namor is going to stop undersea drilling by evil corporations? Isn't that part of the 2020 democratic platform? We're pretty sure we saw Pete Buttigieg talking about that at the Climate Change town hall.

Invaders #9 hits stores on Wednesday.
