A Case of Mistaken Identity in Ghost Spider Annual #1 [Preview]

The Acts of Evil Summer Annual event pits Marvel's heroes against villains they don't normally face. In Ghost Spider Annual #1, in stores Wednesday from Marvel Comics by Vita Ayala and Pere Perez, Spider-Gwen goes up against Arcade. Here's a preview.

The recap page sets the stage for those who haven't followed Gwen through the latest relaunch, which brings her to the 616 for college (but more importantly, for exactly these kinds of co-star opportunities).

And the preview opens with Gwen minding her own business, having an inner monologue about her latest dramas…

When suddenly, she finds herself ensnared in a trap!

Gwen is transported to the latest incarnation of Murderworld…

…where Arcade has been expecting… well, someone else.

It seems he set this trap for Spider-Man. And he's left the place on autopilot.

How will Gwen deal with Arcade's deadly shenanigans? We're guessing as well as every other hero who makes a fool of Arcade. But just in case, you might want to check out Ghost Spider Annual #1 on Wednesday to make sure she's okay.
