Tactical WWII RPG "Warsaw" Delayed to October 2nd in Order to Use Nazi Imagery

Independent video game publisher Gaming Company and developer Pixelated Milk have announced that their tactical WWII RPG Warsaw, which is set during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, will now launch on its historic penultimate day, October 2nd, 2019. Part of the delay for the game is due to the lengthy process Pixelated Milk went through with German game rating body USK, in order to present historically-accurate Nazi symbols. Due to the use of Nazi iconography, the USK has rated the game for ages 16 and above in Germany.

Additionally, this fact makes Warsaw the first-ever Polish video game allowed to present accurate Nazi symbols, such as the swastika, in Germany.

Producer Krzysztof Paplinksi commented, "with Warsaw, we wanted to create a game both culturally significant and great to play. With the originally planned release date approaching, we needed a few more weeks in order to deliver the best possible experience for players and to ensure we do our history justice"

Warsaw has players lead the Polish underground resistance in their brave fight against the city's Nazi occupation. Recruit, develop and manage your fighters as you take them into battle in an immersive urban warfare experience. Encounter patrols, aid citizens and make tough decisions that will affect the resistance's fortunes permanently. In WARSAW, death is permanent, with fighters killed in battle being lost forever, their death's having an impact upon their loved ones and the resistance's overall morale.

Warsaw will release October 2nd 2019 on Steam with German, French and Russian localisation, in addition to Polish and English language options,  and will arrive on consoles at a later date.
