DC Comics Realise They Got Their Titans: Burning Rage Contents Muddled Up

We mentioned the following in a previous Walmart DC Comics report,

The Titans Burning Rage collection for the direct market incorrectly solicited.  It says it is reprinting stories from Titans Giant #1 and #2 but the material is actually from Teen Titans Giant #1 and #2.  Which means the solicit and the future solicits (even the current one that just came out) are wrong and the collection should be fully returnable as a result.

It looks like DC Comics was, at least, paying attention.

Today they have told retailers that the solicitation text for Titans: Burning Rage #3 and #4 have been updated as follows 'to better reflect the contents of the issues'. As opposed to getting them utterly wrong. And making #1 and #2 returnable as well.

Titans: Burning Rage #3
written by DAN JURGENS
art by SCOT EATON and WAYNE FAUCHER
new cover by DAN JURGENS and NORM RAPMUND
Available to comics shops for the first time! Raven's powers are out of control, and it's up to Beast Boy to stop her from going too far–in the midst of an attack from the Fearsome Five! Let's hope the team gets on the same page soon, since it'll need to truly be "Titans Together" if they're going to have a chance at stopping H.I.V.E. and their plans for world domination. Originally published in Teen Titans Giant #5 and #6.

Titans: Burning Rage #4
written by DAN JURGENS
art by SCOT EATON and WAYNE FAUCHER
new cover by DAN JURGENS and NORM RAPMUND
Available to comics shops for the first time! It's Beast Boy's birthday, but the party won't last long as the Titans make the save at catastrophic fire–and the arsonists are: Hawk and Dove?! Things aren't as they seem, as former Doom Patrol member Mento is pulling the duo's strings in a violent uprising. It's up to the Titans to uncover his sinister purpose before someone gets killed! Originally published in Teen Titans Giant #7 and Titans Giant #1.

Subsequent issues will reprint content originally published in Titans Giant as follows:

  • Titans: Burning Rage #5 will reprint stories from Titans Giant #2 and #3.
  • Titans: Burning Rage #6 will reprint stories from Titans Giant #4 and #5.
  • Titans: Burning Rage #7 will reprint stories from Titans Giant #6 and #7.
