Will Donny Cates Be The New Writer on Thor?
John Siuntres' well known Word Balloon podcast just included a panel with Donny Cates he conducted at Terrificon two weeks ago.. Nineteen minutes in, you'll hear Donny Cates say "My next big Marvel thing that I'm doing will be announced next month. When I got to Marvel there were two books I wanted more than anything else. Venom and something else. I can't tell you but I just got it. I've been working on it for a while now. It's a big deal." Then later talking about "following Jason Aaron on anything is tough"…
Donny Cates has been tying his run on Venom and Absolute Carnage in with Jason Aaron's Thor, Avengers and War Of The Realms, with necroswords, symbiotes and their gods all intermingling. Could this be a preparing of the way for Donny Cates to write the Asgardian god, even as a new movie is announced based on Aaron's run?
Was Thor one of his two books? Will we find out for November solicits? Or for December?
