Mike Baron and Steve Rude's Nexus Returns in February

Dark Horse Comics has announced a new volume of Nexus from Mike Baron and Steve Rude coming this February in both a regular and deluxe edition. Nexus, of course, debuted on Monday Night Raw in 2010 by attacking John Cena and C.M. Punk… no, wait, that's pro wrestling stable The Nexus. But it's an easy mistake because both Baron and Rude have excellent wrestling names. Nexus, the superhero comic, actually debuted way back in 1981 and was last seen in Dark Horse Presents a few years back.

From the press release:

Mike Baron and Steve Rude return to their beloved superhero comic in Nexus: The Newspaper Strips Volume 1—The Coming of Gourmando TPB and Nexus: The Newspaper Strips Volume 1—The Coming of Gourmando Artist's Edition HC. Mike Baron and Steve Rude deliver a new Nexus adventure in this special collection that also includes the newly-remastered Nexus: The Origin comic and the classic Rude hand-painted Sundra story, "When She was Young."

In Nexus: The Newspaper Strips Volume 1—The Coming of Gourmando, something long-dormant beneath the surface of Ylum comes alive, triggering a visit from the planet-devouring entity and his mysterious ally. With powers far beyond those of even Nexus himself, this unstoppable being banishes Nexus to an unknown realm—and the only way out is to face one's worst fears!

The Nexus: The Newspaper Strips Volume 1—The Coming of Gourmando Artist's Edition delivers a gorgeous 12" x 17" hardcover collection in full-color. Supplemented with amazing extras, the Artist's Edition is a must-have for fans of Mike Baron and Steve Rude's beloved creation.

Both editions will be 184 pages and hit comic shops on February 19th, bookstores on March 3rd, with the regular version going for $9.99 and the artist's edition going for a whopping $99.99.
