Are The Mid and Post-Credits For Fast And Furious: Hobbs & Shaw Worth It? And What's Gavin Esler Doing In Them? (No Spoilers)

Just saw Fast And Furious Presents: Hobbes & Shaw on the big screen at Leicester Square. The biggest screen they have going… well, it's that kind of film. And I stayed till the very end, just so you can decide whether or not you want to.

Because there are lots of credit, mid-credit and post-credit scenes to contend with.

The first section plays out over the initial credits, as we get a family reunion.

Then there's a break for some white on black credits. Then we get Ryan Reynolds returning for something that appears to set up a sequel to this film.

Then there's a break for some more credits, Did you know that newsreader Gavin Esler is in this movie? Well, he is. And gets a credit to that effect.

Then there's another scene with Shaw in his pub, getting a call from Hobbs, which plays off an earlier scene in the airport.

Then more credits until finally a final scene with Ryan Reynolds that calls back to the previous credits scene (that's a first) as well as a line of dialogue from near the beginning of the movie. I'm sure I recognise that gag, wasn't it from ITV superhero sitcom No Heroics? Did Drew Pearce write this movie?

Check. He did. No wonder they got so many of the British and London references right…
