Checking Out Some of Blizzard's SDCC Exclusives From This Year

Blizzard always has one of the more popular areas on the SDCC floor. Fans of Overwatch, Hearthstone, Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and so many other mega-properties flock over there to chat up the team, participate in demos, and pick up exclusive merchandise. This stuff always goes fast, and Blizzard not only brings exclusives, they feature collectibles and more that debut for purchase at the show. They were kind enough to send over a couple such items for us to take a look at, so let's dive into two items that Overwatch and StarCraft fans will want to track down.

First up, in partnership with Hasbro, is a new version of Reinhardt from Overwatch. These Ultimates figures have been a pretty big hit for Blizzard and Hasbro, and the big fella was a natural fit for a SDCC exclusive this year. This is a straight repaint of the regular release figure, this version is based on his Bundswehr skin, removing his helmet and showing off what they can really do now with their headscan tech. This is a behemoth of a figure, and an impressive one at that. While bulky, it does not limit his mobility or articulation. That's not to mention his giant shield as well, also included here. I hated opening this as well, as Reinhardt is posed in an action scene in the gorgeous box. I have zero complaints about this one. It will be available on Hasbro Pulse for those who were not at the con on August 15th.

Debuting at the show from Blizzard as well was this amazing Blizzard Legends: StarCraft Artanis Statue. I will be the first to admit, it has been a hot minute since I have played or eve thought about StarCraft. That does not mean however that I cannot appreciate how awesome this looks. The sculpt is very detailed and striking when you remove it from the box. I love the colors as well, the deep and translucent blues and purples really pop, and the statue just looks epic. This one is made of PVC as well, keeping the cost down for collectors without sacrificing quality. I know a lot of players who are starving for more StarCraft merchandise from Blizzard, so it is cool to see them get this to fans. This will be available to purchase here soon.

Many thanks to Blizzard for sending these over. What do you think? Looking to add these to your collections? Let us know below.
