DC Comics to Increase Retailer Exclusive Variant Covers in October

DC Comics is upping the number of titles they offer with exclusive retailer/creator variant covers, printed on card stock for four debut issues in October. Usually, DC Comics has one or two every other month which everyone takes up, while Marvel Comics offer around ten a month, which very few take up. But for October, DC Comic will have four – a massive number for them. Will this be the way going forward?

The four for October are:

The Joker: Year Of The Villain #1  written by John Carpenter and Anthony Burch with art by Philip Tan and Marc Deering is on sale October 9th.

Tales From The Dark: Multiverse: Batman: Knightfall #1 written by Scott Snyder and Kyle Higgins with art by Javier Fernandez is on sale October 16th.

Birds Of Prey #1 written by Brian Azzarello with art by Emanuela Lupacchino and Ray McCarthy is on sale October 30th.

Tales From The Dark: Multiverse: The Death Of Superman #1 is written by Jeff Loveness with art by Brad Walker and Andrew Henness is on sale October 30th.

All inquiries must be received by Stuart Schreck, DC's Manager – Sales, no later than Friday, August 9th. All orders must be finalized by Friday, September 13th.
